Biography

She ended cum laude the two years of “Renaissance and Baroque Singing” class under Roberta Invernizzi and the 2nd level-Master Class of Ancient Music under Antonio Florio in Naples. She improved herself with Rinaldo Alessandrini, Sonia Prina, Marina De Liso, Margit Legler, Lucrezia Messa. She took part in international festivals including the Viaf in Malta, the Innsbruck Barock of the Universität Mozarteum and the Ravello Festival. Specialized in the 17th- and 18th-century operatic repertoire, particularly of the Neapolitan school, she has had an intense concert activity and has also devoted herself to the rediscovery of the unpublished baroque music, with first performances in modern times, such as Santo Eustachio by Donato Ricchezza (Cappella Neapolitana, under the direction of Antonio Florio), Le retour au village by Egidio Romualdo Duni and the Concerti spirituali by Melani. She took part in the Cantata di San Gennaro by Giovanni Paisiello with the Baroque Ensemble of the Teatro San Carlo of Naples, in La serva padrona, Mosè in Egitto and Gli astrologi immaginari conducted by Martin Gester. Among the other performances, La serva padrona by Pergolesi, Apollo et Hyacinthus by W. A. Mozart, Alcina by Francesca Caccini, Agar e Ismaele liberati by Alessandro Scarlatti. She plays the role of Aminta in HandelVALERIA LA GROTTA
